My finace and I are lucky enough to be taking a 10 day honeymoon to beautiful St. Lucia. However, I feel that this is quite indulgent and wish to at least volunteer or help out with a charity for a few days while I am there. Do you know of an organization that I could contact to arrange a few days of charity/volunteer work in St. Lucia? We are staying at the Sandals Grande, so if it is on that side of the island that would be best, I am not sure of our transportation options for long distances. Thanks!

Congratulations first on your wedding and upcoming honeymoon, marriages are always a time for celebration. And congratulations again on your caring and charitable attitude!

I've done some research and it looks like there are a couple organizations that need volunteers in the St. Lucia area.
The Balenbouche Estate in St. Lucia is looking for volunteers to provide a wide variety of services, everything from gardening and simple landscaping to waiting tables in their restaurant.
Here's their website: http://www.balenbouche.com/Balenbouche_volunteering.htm

Secondly, the Red Cross has a site in St. Lucia and are also looking for volunteers.

That's extremely generous of you. I can relate because I always feel so guilty when I am on a nice vacation and am paying $4 for a bottled water!

I think the previous answer gave you some great ideas and I wish you the best of luck! Enjoy your trip!
