Chapstick doesn't get rid of chapped lips, it only protects you from getting chapped lips. What I like to do is smear plain ol Vaseline over my lips and around my lips, then take a nice hot shower with it still on my lips. The heat with make it sink in and your lips will be instantly healed, I SWEAR! After your shower, wipe off the Vaseline and then apply Burts Bees lip balm to seal the deal.
Good luck!

I heard that using lip balm too frequently can cause your lips to be dry or chapped. I hear the moisture naturally produced in your lips will stop if it gets used to the artificial moisture. (I don't think its permanent) That's just what I heard.
When I am dehydrated or during winter's cold weather my lips get dry or chapped. Make sure to drink lots of water, it helps me! Use a medicated lip ointment sparingly for really chapped lips. Otherwise I use carmex:)

well..it works really good if you take a tooth brush and put Vaseline on it. Then gently scrub your lips with it and it will get rid of all the dirt and dead skin. Your lips might tingle after wards but you know its working. Then apply chap stick so they don't get chapped again. I like Burt's bee's wax because it makes your lips feel clean and stuff.

Believe it or not use Vicks Vapo Rub..Yes the stuff that you use for a cold. Just put a bit on your lips(the way you would lip gloss) before you go to bed and by morning the chapped is gone...

Yes, use chapstick as the other posters suggest, several times a day. Use it just before you go to bed and just after you get out of the shower.

It will probably take a few days for the chapping to go away entirely.

Whenever mine get really chapped I take some sugar and add a few drops of water and use it to exfoliate them, and then take vaseline and apply it liberally before you go to bed then go ahead and use chapstick religiously.
