Well, then there will be a show on tv interesting enough to watch on television for once. I would rather follow an interesting story line, regardless of immigrant who wrote it, than watch the same old mundane crap that is currently on tv.

properly, i've got by no skill had my job taken by making use of an immigrant, so i'm no longer waiting to assert. I think of that i may well be indignant considering the fact that that grow to be my job & my employers have been too grasping to pay somebody an entire salary. i may well be a splash mad on the immigrants, yet i may well be greater mad at my employers for illegally hiring the unlawful immigrants or for hiring somebody at an unfair fee. it isn't any longer the immigrants as much because it is the unscrupulous companies that attempt to save a greenback by making use of hiring illegals. additionally, you ought to attain that countless jobs that are being taken are jobs that us individuals did no longer want to do, which includes shape & different stressful hard paintings or menial initiatives. in the initiating it wasn't just about as undesirable, yet at last companies caught savvy to the thought that they'd hire illegals or new immigrants for a fragment of the fee, and as such they began to push out the natives. despite if the US workers have been stressful workers, they might nonetheless get pink slipped so the employers ought to hire somebody greater low priced. And wager what? it is neglected by making use of the gov't. specific, they make a fuss, yet they do no longer likely do something to penalize the companies that use unlawful workers. extremely, you ought to blame the employers & the gov't. no longer the immigrants. EDIT: Ah, are you speaking approximately immigrants generally? no longer merely those that are available in illegally or are unskilled? The experienced immigrants need to be employed. it is extremely stressful back over legally, and it is much greater solid to get a level which will circulate over to the US. a great number of out of us of a stages are not legitimate over right here, so those that do circulate are somewhat aggressive & stressful to get.

well Tiffany you are kind of misinformed.

many productions in Hollywood will hire writers that aren't part of the guild. a lot of shows have staffs that are half guild writers, half non-guild. examples are "The Ellen De Generes Show" where only half her staff are members of the guild and many daytime soaps have half and half staffs; many of the dialog writers are not guild writers.

also reality series typically do not employ guild writers, which is why American Idol, DWTS, and other shows can air during the strike.

Now during the strike if you write for a show and you are not a guild writer you can be banned from ever joining the guild.

Unless they sign up with the WGA, they CAN'T write for hollywood (including TV).

You must be a part of the guild in order to write. There is no way around it. Can you be a bagger at King Soopers and not be a part of their union? No you can't.

Unions make up all of hollywood and you can't get around them.

Actually, I heard a news story on the radio the other day that Telemundo is about to launch a bi-lingual late night show.

It would make for some interesting writing, storytelling and entertainment, but it would be helpful if these immigrants learned to speak and write in English first.
