hold your arms out in front of you like a ballerina, then breathe in and hold your chest in that position while breathing in and out, it helps really well. also you could try the monkey on horseback exercise, that is when you bounce up and down like your on a horse, while making monkey noises. to breathe from you diaphragm, you just try to fill your stomach with air when you breathe in through your nose, then out through your mouth. try not to lift your shoulders when breathing, if you do then your not breathing right.

to work on your high notes - sing your lows
and to work on your lows - sing the high

when you stand, feet one in front (forward) of the other
for dynamic pressure on the diaphragm
- not flatfooted where you can lock your knees and faint

also - do not let your upper chest move - and loosen your belt
one of the worst things we have to contrain the diaphragm!

all the best
