We want to add a small, simple bathroom on our main floor. It would be right next to the kitchen (there's a wall seperating the kitchen and the room where we plan on putting the bathroom). The upstairs and basement bathrooms are right above and below the kitchen. My dad is a construction worker and will add the walls and other things. I just want to know the price to have a plumber put the piping for a sink and toilet. We're in the process of toilet training our daughter and we don't want it to be too much of hassle for her to go upstairs because they are very deep stairs and because it'll increase her chances of not making it to the toilet on time.

If you are just talking about the plumbing ( framing and other carpentry work done by your dad ), it sounds like a five-ten hour job at about $100/hr for a licensed plumber ( and you should use one ) so, aside from <$500 for the toilet, sink ( no shower ), a good guess is $1-2000.

depending on where you live, and how much free work you can get out of your dad, plan on spending anywhere from 2500 to 10000 on a cheap bathroom.
