Yesterday my feonce's mother was baby sitting my little sister and she gave my little sister a big huge smack on the butt with a belt, because she was climbing a tree, and my sister is only 7!!!!!! My sister started to scream and took the belt and smacked the my feonce's mother in the butt so she (the mother) would get out of the house and so she left the house and then my little sister locked all of the doors and called my mom to come pick her up! was that rude? was it illegal? MY MOM NEVER TOLD HER THAT SHE COULD DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd think that in most states this would be considered child abuse. If you're still planning on marrying your fiance after this, then someone needs to sit that woman down and tell her that she is under no terms to ever touch anyone like that again. You need to seriously think about marrying your fiance if you ever plan on having children. I couldn't imagine what could happen if she were babysitting and did something like that again, or worse.

In Australia its illegal to smack children at any time.The babysitter had no right to smack the child even without the permission of the mother.
