You could try Advil to reduce the muscular pain. You could also try hot/cold therapy (ice followed by heat). The ice reduces the swelling, the heat brings blood (and thus oxygen, which speeds cell healing and regeneration) to the area. I'd also not lift weights for a few days.

And of course, next time you're lifting weights, go a little easier on yourself!

Eat plenty of protein, this helps. Also, take ibuprofen and believe it or not working out doing cardio, something like running will help work the lactic acid build up. Take a few days off of weights. Another great thing is sleep. I've found that I sleep more on the days I lift. Your muscles need to heal and recover and sleep will help immensely.

Do some streching, that may help. Ask someone to masache your muscles and take a hot bath. In a few days, they'll be fine! Try starting out at an easier weight next time.

Sounds like you need to work the lactic acid out. Do some stretching and range of motion exercies with your chest and arms. The worst thing you can do is not move them. Move and stretch them and I promise you will feel better.

PS... Keep up the strength training....
