There was obviously a good reason why you decides to break up with this person. It is never easy getting over someone you love. I think it could be a high possibility that your ex has moved on after a year! Only you can answer that though. Maybe you feel now that you made a mistake by breaking up with him, if you feel it is still a chance then go after him. But you got to be ready for the consequences of your decision last year.

Well conatact this person. find out if they are still single, ask how they are doing. Then explain how you have been thinking about them recently alot. Ask them if they would be interested in giving you another chance to go back out together. If they say no, then that is when you move on and find someone else that you are in love with

Think of why you broke with them, and then see where that gets you. I you still really like this person, call them and ask if you can hang out and maybe you'll feel different, or maybe you won't and you can have a relationship that person again.

Send a shout out, but do not tell them you have not been able to move on.

Ask yourself why you have not been able to move on. Is there unresolved guilt? Unanswered questions? You may not have fully processed the break up or the relationship and this is why you have not moved on.

If this person has moved on and is in a committed relationship, I think its best to leave it alone.

Well if it didn't work before you would have to make sure something has changed this time round. I would say leave it, most people backtrack when they are emotionally bored. Just move on and meet someone else.

maybe you should be a little bit more subtle then just flat out telling them...maybe inviting them over for coffee or asking them to come out dinner with you, but yes, i think you should def tell them if you think there is even the slightest possibility that you guys could once again end up together.

Personally, I feel that you can't step into the same water twice; try though you may, that point of entry no longer exists and therefore cannot be recaptured.
