...and Heaven does exist (as I believe it does) would this be enough for them to be granted access to Heaven? Or does getting into Heaven depend on acknowledging God and having faith in Him?

It's not atheists acting like Christians copper o, it's more that if you're brought up in a Christian country the rules and morals are mostly Christian, if you've led a good life, does that qualify you as a Christian, or do you have acknowledge God/Jesus to gain access to the afterlife :o)

I believe that a person who does not believe or has never been taught will get a chance to accept God and gain access into heaven. I believe we are judged by what is in our hearts, not by our religion or lack of.

Well if heaven actualIy exists I dont see why not, If in reality they have been a good person.. They probably would of lived better than some 'christians' However if the vital difference is to 'Beleive' in god then if they were sent to hell while a less "following the values" who beleived went to heaven.. well shows you that its a pretty poor system!

If you are going to allow a religion to make the entry rules for Heaven, 90% of the World's righteous people would be disqualified. No religion owns Heaven, ,but they make their followers think that they do buy adjusting and interpreting scripture to serve their agenda. Smart people know that Heaven existed long before any organized religion got its start.

If one lives a life of decency, with regard for his fellow man,and treats his neighbor as he would be treated himself,if there is a God,and a heaven, surly this man would be welcomed there.. It is the height of arrogance,to stated any one religion,or faith is the ONLY way to salvation.. Surly too, this God if he exists, will recognize humility, and sincerity and love of fellow man.. If there is a God, the righteous man will already have his place by his actions rather than his words.. And the millions upon millions before Christians, would he condemn them, because they lived before Christianity?? I think not! If there is a place to go to upon the end of our time here on earth, if we are righteous, we will go there and be accepted.. SOLOMON

According to the Christian Bible and faith the only way to heaven is through Jesus but if you do not believe in that and there is no one that is going to convince you to change your belief then there is really know way to tell....I guess it all just depends on what you chose to believe.

Truthfully, it's a matter of what you believe. Some people believe that if you don't believe in God, then you'll go to Hell. I'm an atheist too, and if there's a heaven and we lead good lives, I believe it's possible to go to heaven.

I think everyone goes to heaven, or an afterlife that is nice. Probably its a bit like here and if you're determined to be horrible it wont be so nice. I wonder if hell is having God not be pleased with you.

you have to acknowledge the one true God and accept Him through Jesus Christ.

good works alone will not get you into heaven. nor by having just good morals and standards.

you have to have a personal relationship with God.

Heaven is open ONLY to those that have accepted the GIFT from Christ Jesus by his death and resurrection and through his GRACE. Accepting Christ Jesus' GIFT is simply done by praying for forgiveness and accepting Christ Jesus. You can not do good deeds, be moral, be charitable, etc. to get there. It is true that all of those attributes are natural to someone who has received Christ Jesus, but that alone is not sufficient.
