like changing a bad guy to a good guy?

I can safely say, having been one of those women who thought she could change a guy's personality that certain women have a mothering tendency towards men that has nothing to do with really wanting to change men. It has more to do with the lack of something in themselves. Like confidence for example. Or lack of self respect. Of which I needed to learn both. Instead of learning to nurture themselves they try to find the faults of others and try to fix them. Learning to not fix others is hard. But once they do learn they will leave you alone. Trust me, I learned the hard way. It's not worh it. So listen up you women, work on yourselves and you will find the good man you are seeking and you will love him the way he is not for who you want him to be. I did and I have five wonderful years in a good stable relationship with a man that is just fine the way he is flaws and all the bottom line is we both love each other for exactly who we are.

Well this is a common belief among women that they can change and improve everything with their love ... Bad guys is a kind of challenge to them and they never think that they may destroy their lives with trying sth impossible. Bad guys are bad guys and good are good... Personally i don't believe i can change sb but i should admit that ''bad guys'' make me feel more excited . However i would never have a relationship with them 'cause i know at the end i will be the one that hurts... Good guys are the best choice not bads who turn on good (unfeasible)

Because people, especially women like challenge. And when a girl changes a guy's personality, she feels stronger and more special to that guy. (So wrong, I know!)

It's not just women. Men think the same thing sometimes. You can't change anyone and if you think someone that you want to be with needs to change, then it probably won't work-out anyway.

I think they believe that they can cure a bad man. Their love will make him want to be a better man. Too many sappy romantic movies. They need to see reality -- once a loser, always a loser. Cheaters and liars never change! Leave them on the corner in the sewer where you found 'em.

Because they are naive. I know you can't change a guy's personality. They are how they are and if some girls don't like it then they need to leave and move on.

Because we want to know that you guys care about us enough to be willing to change for us and because we can see the good in every bad guy and want top bring it out (its our maternal instinct)

Its a built in gene in women that states" Be with a man for what he is then, change him into what you want him to be" Its been around since man walked upright and will never go away.....

it's a challenge that women are willing to take.
when we see guys with problems, it's like part of a womenly/motherly instinct to want to "fix" them.
that's why.
sometimes, girls don't want the man to change forever, but only for a little while- like an hour or two

cuz they think its fun! as a women i try to change guys its like a show. one of those extreme makeover shows. we like to do emm how we like em and then show em of to all our friends. be like 'hey guys' and then theyll be like ehy is that ur bf and then ull get all this praise bout how u r the stronger perosn in the realation ship! its cool.
