I have a couple of filet minon steaks in the freezer and they are individually sealed tight. I was just wondering if it would be okay to eat those now after a year, or should I throw them away?

No they should be good yet, as long as they haven't gotten freezer burned yet. I would use them soon though, as they probably won't last a lot longer. Enjoy!

A company that sold us some vacuum sealed meat said they could keep in the freezer for a year. They should be fine.

Well they stay good for 6-12 months frozen so if your going to to eat them now its OK. But you should throw them away after a year.
