I'm cooking a frozen lasagne and the directions say to rotate during the cooking process. Ummm....the thing turns. Am I not understanding something? lol

If you have a microwave that already has a turntable in it, then you don't have to turn it. Some microwaves don't, so you have to turn the food every so often to make sure the food cooks evenly...and doesn't have some hot spots & cold spots.

Microwaves heat from the outside in, so if you move the tray, hopefully you won't end up with a frozen spot in the middle of the lasagna. So maybe you don't need to turn it, just slide it to the opposite side of the turn table, just in case.

Most modern microwaves beep & tell you when to rotate food! However, yes, you should rotate food often as it driesout on one side if not rotated.

don't worry about it if your microwave has a turn table, those instructions are for people who don't have a turn table!
