By the sotry of Moses I mean the one in the bible in the book of Exodus. I'm doing a presentation and I have most of it done, but I'm really not sure how to answer this question. Why would this story be considered significant? Because Moses performed all those miracles?

Any help greatly appreciated!

WHY WOULD EGYPT WORLD EMPIRE #1 WANT TO LET THESE PEOPLE GO?

Moses is 430 years Exo.7:7; age 80, 12:37,40,41 [ 430 ]; Gal.3:16-18 [ 430 ]; after Abraham Matt.1:1-17; and the Promised Land covenant, Gen.15:13,16; Moses is in generation four Exo.6:16-23.26;
[ generation four after Jacob came into Egypt Gen.46:27; 47:9,11,28; with 70 in the family, 215 years after Abraham and the Promised Land covenant, so Jacob died 17 years after, then Joseph died 53 years after him, Gen.50:26; ],

Now 215 years after Jacob came into Egypt, is the Exodus and in 40 years Moses will have given 603,550 as the Promises Land Heirs the law of the land and the laws of God to be law keepers, givers and law enforcers Deut.1:3; 29:5; 34:7; Year 2553, 897 years after flood, 1513 before Christ.

simone, honey, I regret to have to say that the story of Moses is only a "significant literary work" to Christians. Any major, non-religious publisher TODAY would disagree that it's good writing!

Fiona, Cher asked me what I knew proper to using blood in Jewish sacrifice. it is been just about 2 thousand years considering the fact that we final did that, so we don't communicate approximately it plenty. Prayer (our time and interest) is the sacrifice now, so we communicate approximately that and words. in line with risk between the Orthodox contributors would be waiting to handle this greater in particular. i bypass to jot down greater from the perspective of an anthropologist. between the flaws that outsiders locate unfathomable approximately Judaism is that we don't throw out texts or practices while circumstances have replaced plenty that their applicability is at superb oblique. fairly we've shaped procedures of integrating, adapting and determining how they're superb utilized for this time. An occasion is the way that our calendar consists of aspects of our time dwelling among the two Canaanites and Babylonians. It is clever to us with the aid of fact we see it as a totality, metaphorically that we've been all at Sinai. Blood sacrifice originates in prehistory. we don't understand how or why it began. considered in connection with their neighbour's practices, Hebraicism/ Judaism is continuously a relief of severity. by making use of the time we get to the 1st century CE, Judaism had decreased its very own severity to the element of outrage that any animals sacrificed be killed as painlessly as attainable. in assessment, Christianity's doctrine of human sacrifice (and a son no much less), is taking sacrifice real lower back to pre-Hebraic strata. it is probable why the blood element is so substantial to that doctrine. even if it isn't any longer in Judaism. it is nonetheless there, with the aid of fact we don't throw issues out. in recent times nevertheless, like various sacrifice, we use it allegorically. Blood sacrifice grow to be by no skill required for atonement, nor did it have magical saving powers. It grow to be a ritual on the brink of a psychological and social technique. in recent times we sacrifice from the main helpful of our commodities -- our time, interest and attempt.
