I am nearly 18, and have never had a serious boyfriend. All my friends have either got one at this present moment or have had one in the past. I am really happy for my friends but i do sometimes get jealous. Just the thought of never meeting anyone who will love me scares me so much. I just want to be happy like me friends are. I can be quite a shy person, i dont see myself to be attractive but all my friends and their parents and even teachers at school disagree and say i am beautiful, so why cant i find someone special? what is wrong with me?

There's nothing wrong with you. Those other girls don't have someone that loves them; at best teen "love" (in general) is akin to a relationship training ground; that's why they're so fleeting and changeable. A person isn't emotionally capable of the enormity of really loving someone until they truly know who they really are, and all through your teens (and for some into their early twenties) this remains undecided and largely in development. You've spared yourself some measure of grief. When it does happen for you (and trust me, it will) it has a greater chance of being lasting and substantial, so take comfort in that fact. Good luck to you.
