I used to want to get a pitbull and beagle, but Iearned that pitbulls turn on you, (or attack you), not beagles but pit bulls, so now I want to get an english bulldog and a beagle. I know beagles dont turn on you, but the question im asking is, do english bulldog turn on you.

Contrary to popular belief, pit bulls do not normally "turn" on their owners. Even though it's been thousands of years, dogs ARE descended from wolves. The pack instinct is still very strong in dogs, and it all depends on how a dog is raised. If you let it get away with too much, and baby it too much, it could get the idea in its head that you would be easy to boss around. (pit bulls are not the only breed to do this, we've had chihuahuas do this, along with a german shepherd we had to put down bc when it was a puppy my mother would let the dogs growl at us kids, and just like wolves, dogs DO KNOW who the family boss is, and will follow that example, in order to get bumbed up in the pecking line). but likewise, if a dog is abused, they may get tired of being mistreated and "turn on" their owner. Genetics also play a big part in temperament, so if my answer changes your mind, make sure you look at the parents and how the puppy has been raised. I've met a pair of dogs once-a chihuahua and a pit bull-and while the tiny thing tried to bite my fingers off, the pit bull climbed into my lap to lick my face. If you still feel more comfortable about going with the English bulldog, however, altho they are rather expensive, they make great family pets, albeit a bit lazy at times.

Any dog can "turn on you" if you don't raise them properly. Pitts are well known for being one of the most loyal breeds that exists, but read some books before considering any breed to find out if the dog will be a match with your lifestyle and personality. If you're considering an English Bulldog, be prepared to spend a lot in vet bills because they're prone to breathing problems.

Any animal can bite or attack. So much of it is how they are treated and if you have control of them (without being mean). It is true that they know instinctively who is in charge. Please make sure that you research the breeds of dogs you are interested in thoroughly before getting one. Some dogs need jobs to keep them happy and healthy mentally. For instance, herding dogs are happier herding. It's just in their nature. If they are unable to do this in some capacity, they can be tempermental. It does not mean they are bad dogs. Really think about your lifestyle and try to find a breed that will fit with this. That is the most important thing. Remember, getting a pet is a committment. If a pitbull's personality fits your life and you train it properly, it will be a terrific dog!

Pit bull don't turn on people, people turn on pit bulls. I have a 15 month old pit bull and wouldn't and couldn't harm a flea. Do some research on both breeds. I personally like pit bulls and wouldn't have any other breed other than that or a bull terrier. Here are some sites to help you. Any dog will turn if treated badly. Whatever breed you choose please spay or neuter.

That information about Pit Bulls is nonsense. If you get a well trained, well-bred Pit Bull, they're very loyal dogs.
Don't judge every dog based on the breed, anyways. You'll find aggressive and sweet dogs of every breed.
