When my son's where little "someone" sent me a gift certificate to a food store, and to a toy store...I couldn't believe it, because we had no money, and I was raising my son's on my own..I will never forget that...and I never did find out who sent it...
and it did renew my faith in God and for my fellow human beings...
I haven't thought about that in years...THANKS for bringing back a wonderful memory...!!

when my husband and I were struggling with unemployment when my children were only little, we received a phone call one evening before Christmas asking if we were home. My husband asked who the caller was and he simply said "a friend".
One hour later we had a knock on the door and 3 people we didn't know brought in 5 or 6 boxes of food, presents and goodies all for us.
It was the most thoughtful, kind thing that we had experienced from persons we didn't know. It was a miracle too.
blessings :)

Where I live very few people celebrate Christmas. Life goes on. December 25th is a Tuesday, I'm having an exam in Entomology.

Came after me when I totalled my car.
Can't say that it renewed my faith... more or less, it allowed me to have a better understanding where I stood in this world.

People do kind things for me always, as I do to them. I don't think it has to be the holidays for anything special to occur.
Although I'm atheist and did go to church with my gf last christmas to be nice... It did nothing more than remind me why I don't believe and why I dislike it.
