When I was younger people used to say that to me all the time. I thought about it and I realized that it was my facial expressions. I rarely smiled and I usually don't speak unless spoken to. The funny thing was the people who know me knew I was a goofball and would laugh whenever someone said something like that.

Sometimes you come off a certain way. I'm labeled as a ***** because I'm not afraid to speak my mind. And if someone asks my opinion, I don't water it down.
Just stop worrying about how people perceive you, honestly. If you really are worried, just start being super nice to people.

maybe you have a dry sense of humor. Some people are like that and others take their teasing, etc as being mean or rough around the edges....Im that way, and I found that my friends dont mind......they like as I am.....as the saying goes.....those that mind dont matter, and those that matter dont mind......

some times our eyes can look mean if we are in a bad place thy are the windows to the soul cheer up it will all work out

i have the same problem, turns out alot of people just feel intimidated by me because i have accomplished so much with my life, and i hold myself in high regard, and i am going places.
so maybe people are afraid of you because they sense you are going to become evil, like most women are.
