Cause some really pretty girls i know who are really nice, never get asked out... but then a lot of average girls with not so nice personalities get asked out more..

All the time. I assume too high maintenance or vain, probably looking for a model looking guy.

haha more than you know :-S I'm currently facing that problem. The funny thing is that we're even good friends and it's not completely unlikely that she's interested too. She's just too good looking haha. It gets to the point, with me at least, that being too good looking is a turn-off, in terms of a relationship, screwing around in a more than friendly manner or even, in some cases (but thankfully not this one) conversation.

Pretty girls have a problem getting men to talk to them. Too many men find them unapproachable and do not even try. There was a psychological test done with a very "attractive" women and an "average" women. The attractive woman sat at the bar and did nothing to interact with people around her while the average woman used subtle body language (brushing her hair back, licking her lips, leaning closer during conversations, etc.) The overwhelming result was body language did much more for a woman than what she looked like.
By the way, the best pick up line I know is "Hi, my name is..."

I know your question is directed at guys, but just thought I might give my opinion/help?
You said the girls that are pretty, and you know they're nice.
It could be they are too picky about the guys they like.
Perhaps guys are intimidated by them.
They might give bad impression to people.
Or, just not as nice as you think.
Average girls probably get asked out more because they seem more approachable to guys.

I agree with the person above who claimed that 9 times out of 10 the most attractive girls are complete jerks. Just because a girl is lucky enough to be naturally attractive doesn't mean that she should take advantage of it by acting like an jerk.

Because a way too pretty girl must have a boyfriend. Most of us don't need the rejection, so we don't ask.

For whatever reason, beauty is intimidating. I always fear rejection, because it makes me feel stupid inside. It's something I try to overcome, but it's not simple. It would be helpful if a pretty girl would indicate her availability to a guy she may be interested in. Then it would be easier for us to gather up the necessary courage.

looks are only in the eye of the beholder what some people think is pretty the other people think the opposite ?and if you all were to fall for the same persons there would not be enough to go around, the guys who are afraid to ask are shy and lack in confidence and that's usually what women love not all but most,as really pretty woman love the power and they know they are pretty.

Sure I call it the " prom queen syndrome" . Most guys won't ask the pretty looking girl out on a date - for fear of rejection or they assume she has got a date " after all she IS the prettiest girl around" And although out of the average guys league he stands a good chance of her saying yes if only he walks up to her and asks her out." after all she IS human like the rest of us !"

that's so true. I feel like I intimidate guys a lot and hardy anyone has the guts to ask me out. Thas makes me feel ugly,lol.
