The stheist divorce rate is much lower.
George Barna, president and founder of Barna Research Group, commented:
"While it may be alarming to discover that born again Christians are more likely than others to experience a divorce, that pattern has been in place for quite some time. Even more disturbing, perhaps, is that when those individuals experience a divorce many of them feel their community of faith provides rejection rather than support and healing. But the research also raises questions regarding the effectiveness of how churches minister to families. The ultimate responsibility for a marriage belongs to the husband and wife, but the high incidence of divorce within the Christian community challenges the idea that churches provide truly practical and life-changing support for marriages."

Marriage is a legal contract between two people authorised by the State. Some religions also look on it as a sacred bond between two people and have a religious ceremony to go with it but the celebrant still has to be authorised by the State to perform marriages. Many Christians choose not to have a religious ceremony when they get married but have just the State ceremony.
The only difference that I can see is that for some christians religion is important in their lives while it isn't for atheists. That's all. Atheists are no less loving, moral or ethical than Christians and from what I have seen, I would suggest they are more so.

The christian marriage is ironic from the beginning. it's a menage-a-trois, with God always being invited to the marriage. seems odd that Christians are the ones who use that wording. Not that the threesome thing can't be fun, but it seems out of place in that kind of marriage. Yes, I'm poking fun. Blame it on the gin.

Agreed. Lower divorce rate. More sex, less church. Children likely to be more logical, unless a christian friend gets to them.

Atheists do not expect an imaginary guy to magically make their marriage good. They accept responsibility for their marriage and learn and use good relationship skills to maintain the marriage.
