I caught my ex cheating. He had a porn addiction and had met a woman on-line that he got to know better, I guess.

I was totally destroyed and decided to go stay with my mom for a while to figure things out. I stayed with her for about 9 months. My ex and I decided to give it one last shot, so I moved back in with him.

I found myself explaining to our neighbor (who I thought was a friend) why I had gone. This, of course, was my bad. I was pretty emotional back then and wore my heart on my sleeve, and didn't have the sense to keep some things to myself. I thought, as a nice Christian woman, she would be a comfort and a strength to me, anyway.

So not only did she tell everyone in our entire highrise about this, she told her kids that my husband was a bad man and her kids could not play with my kid at our house. Fair enough (I didn't really want her little monsters at my house anyway) but one day, her little boy and my little boy were out on the playground when her son said

"You're dad is going to hell to be with the devil." I listening and I was totally floored. Who teaches their kids this?

THis is one of the reasons I have such a problem with people being so judgemental--who's to say a person will not figure things out on their own and get on the right track?--but they certainly won't it people are constantly being hostile to them.

Alrighty then, thank you Jess. You know what I am talking about. You get the 10 points already

And you all, I tell this story to illustrate how hypocritical people can be. Don't be a hypocrite--you know who you are.

Hypocrites teach their kids this. Instead of giving you some advice, she turned around and did what any other Christian hypocrite might do. And I'm not saying all Christians are like this, so don't start giving me the thumbs down. But my Mother-in-law is just like that. A so called Christian who talks sh** about her Son when she doesn't get any money from him. I hate the type of people who read their bible every morning and go to church every Sunday, meanwhile, they are acting like complete bit**es or a**ho*** when they doing neither. My husband was also addicted to porn and women. He would get up super early on Sunday morning to go to church, tell me that I was being lazy for not going, and when he got home, he'd go to the basement to watch porn and j*g off. If these are the kind of people preaching about 'god', then Christianity is in for a giant fall.

i've got under no circumstances easily been advised it yet i think of i'd get fantastically offended. i'd snort and respond "nicely so are you with the aid of fact purely god can choose me and additionally you purely tried to do his interest REPENT REPENT previously this is too late" do no longer take it with one in each of those heavy heart you have your ideals and that they have got theirs. in basic terms try to bypass by life making it friendly for you and the human beings around you. on condition that many christians are not doing their interest, why no longer as an atheist do it extra effective. whether there's a god consistent with threat he will forgive you given which you lived your life thankfully and morally marvelous.

yeah well, most christians are judgemental, closed minded, and ridiculous. This kind of behaviour is not isolated to Christianity only, but other religious people can be just as bad. You're just going to have to let it go. People are stupid and say and do stupid things; especially those who are not in the habit of thinking for themselves.

I think that seems to be the typical behaviour of 90% of religious people. Trust me, i've met & known worthless wastes like that from a TON of churches. Had a bunch in my old one. *sighs* idiotic. ♥

I'm really sorry that happened to you and that you were caused so much pain, by both your husband and so-called friend.
I am a Christian and I have to say, yes, we all aren't like that. Sounds to me like that neighbor would enjoy that evil nutty church that shouts "God hates fags."

ouch! People like that are so stupid, and that is why our society is going down the toilet. Kids are taught to find the fault in everyone, and exploit it and point it out.

Your neighbor sounds like a cow and her snot-nosed kids will disappoint her one day is my guess

I wonder if you'll think twice next time before you unload your personal problems on a stranger--although you're doing it again here. Haven't you learned anything from this?

A relative's little girl asked me once "Are you going to hell? You smoke." I was speechless.
