There is no such thing as unbiased opinion. Once your bias affects your ability to discern truth, then you have a problem, unfortunately "truth" is starting to be used as a subjective and relative term.

There have been societies in the past that were based on Godlessness and indulgence, and I can't help but to feel like the whole world would fall into perpetual self indulgence without a "golden" standard or set of ideals. The bar needs to be set by a God, so that it may not be regarded as completely subjective among humans. I think true moral "relativism" is a harmful thing because mankind has a knack for justifying and minimizing when it suits it's purpose.

somewhat after the commencing up i think of ;) “The innovations of gods have historic roots. possibly somebody talking out loud approximately... the stars being the end results of a plenty bigger being OR Thunder being brought about by massive invisible beings working around the sky. over the years those concepts morphed into beings with particular features reflecting the lifestyle and documents of the time... with worry being realised with the aid of fact the main suitable peasant administration device.” the 1st THEIST insisted thunder became an invisible guy stomping on the sky. The ATHEIST in the present day spoke back with: Boolshit ! ~

OK firstly an opinion is naturally biased otherwise it's not an opinion, secondly i disagree that religion promotes violence, it is certain people in the religion who promote violence. Thirdly without the idea of, not necessarily god, some sort of light guiding us i think the world would go mad, more dangerous than anger is fear and religion may cause conflict but that would be nothing in comparison to the fear without it.

Without ORGANIZED religion, the world would be more peaceful. People wouldn't scream at each other for believe in a faithful, unseen figure.

We would probably be colonising the outer reaches of the galaxy cos religion and its superstitions would not have held back progress as it has in our real world.

No... decent human beings undistorted by religions and false beliefs ...As long as there is goodwill and respect between all men there is no need for religion, church, temple or mosque, no need of any clergy desperately trying to justify their existence.

Morals don't come from religion. The majority of wars are because of religion. If you look in the past, all religions seem to do is promote violence and pointless killings.
