Does the fact that a child lies a child disobeys, with no teaching from anybody, wasnt taught, wasnt encouraged to lie, wasnt told to lie;but of the childs own free will, chose to lie(more than likely cause he/she realized the negative consequences of telling the truth);chose to do evil and not good. Does this not disprove the thought or idea that people are naturally good?

I'm quite sure that if I went and surveyed a 100 parents, and asked "Did you any anyway teach your kid(s) to lie?To be deceptive? To be dishonest? To be unobedient?"
I'm quite certain, very sure all of them will answer no to those questions. So how can you say people are naturally good? We're not, nobody has to teach us how to be evil, but it takes considerable time and effort to shape people, mold people, and encourage them to be good.

WANTING to be good AND ACTUALLY being good are 2 different things;people by no means, from the bum on the street to the president of any country, people by no means are....

The idea that people are naturally good, is just that, an idea, although a false one. Everyone of us was born a sinner, and in need of the saving power of Jesus Christ. Without exception. That's why children who automatically lie, without being taught to, do such a thing. That child was born with a sinful nature, and therefore that child will sin, or in this case , lie without being taught to. It's born in them. When such a person accepts Jesus Christ into his/her heart, that sin nature is transformed into one that desires to do what is right in God's eyes.

I agree with you. Human beings have a natural tendency to evil sometimes, some more often than others. It's called original sin. Good behavior has to be learned, which usually consists of experience alone.

I do not believe that people are naturally good; the bible says that there is none righteous, no not one. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That is why we all need Jesus Christ, because no one can be naturally righteous. We only become the righteousness of God through Christ, and Christ alone.

My dear friend, all morals, all qualities of good and bad are man-made. Now they face decadence and yet people tries to ignore this situation and keeps on trying to believe that humans are "special" beings unlike the other "savage" animals. It's all because human beings are arrogant.

They may not have told their children to lie but children also learn from watching and adults can be very deceitful with each other and their kids...they pick it up.
I think kids are innately honest until we teach them fear...

you equate a childs lying to avoid punishment to an evil act? I don't think that quite qualifies as "evil".

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. All who are born of an earthy father are sinners.

Err...disobeying isn't necessarily evil at all. Nor is lying always.

No one is "good." Man's very nature is evil. That's why we need Jesus Christ.
