Just bought a big HDTV, a 5.1 DVD Player (both from samsung), an XBox 360 and a Wii. My TV and DVD Player are hooked up by HDMI. The 360 is through the component (no HDMI on my model) with the sound going into the TV and down a Digital audio (from TV to DVD so that, in theory any sound input to the TV would be played thru the DVD speakers). My problem is that with the sound inputs going thru the TV and into the DVD vai the Digital Audio, the sound is not only delayed but also sounds slower, like a record at the wrong speed. There are inputs for most but not all of the sound inputs in the back of the DVD but using the above method I can not only avoid changing wores round all the time but get it down to one remote. I don't hold out much hope on this one as I'm not sure what I'm on about myself but any help would be very cool.
Erm, Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the answer TV Guy. It turned out to be a problem with the Digital audio cable. A new one fixed it. My reasons for buying the equipment are my own and I'll thank your for keeping your opinions to yourself.

Does your DVD player have at least one digital input?
If yes, connect the digital output from the xbox to that input.
If not, connect the analog audio output from the xbox to the input of your DVD player/receiver.

I am not sure why you bought a 5.1 DVD player. You should have bought an HD DVD player for the xbox360 (about $175) and a real AV Receiver. This way you could connect everything to your 5.1 system.
