For starters, download, update and run a full scan using the following product:
http://www.superantispyware.com/
SuperAntiSpyware is exceptional and will remove the majority of difficult Trojans and Worms, not just the easy ones.
If possible it is recommended that you load the application in normal mode but run it in Safe Mode. Safe Mode can be started by continually pressing F8 during the boot sequence. However, if you are badly infected you might need to run SuperAntiSpyware more than once to help clean your system. If the only infections now being shown are in System Restore, once you are completely satisfied that you can boot normally, you can either delete the infected restore points manually, or temporarily turn off System Restore.
In addition download, update & run Avira. Unlike a lot of the free antivirus applications this will give you real time protection and is very quick to load at boot up.
http://www.avira.com
Assuming you have some real awkward infections and the suggestions above failed to totally clean your system I suggest you download a Smitfraud removal program from:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop_software/desktop_security/smitfraudfix.cfm
Again if possible run in Safe Mode.
Be advised that some infections will corrupt or disable your resident security products so for completeness I have listed a couple of online scans that may help you get started:
Panda - http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/Ac...
Trend - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
Good luck & safe surfing.

1 was there any menu created in the allprograms on start menu ? most progs come with a uninstall shortcut even if foreign its still easy to recognise , but as its maybe only the drivers it may not..... #2 As u cannot remove using the "add remove programs" from control panel means the install didnt complete and is missing the uninstall files or its a trojan. #3 if u can try going into control panel > System > hardware > device manager > find your printer and uninstall the hardware completely , reconnect and try new software drivers/program (not 100% on that) #4Is a risky method so be careful what u do , if u cannot totally delete the software , what u can do is make the computer think that its not there , if u click start menu and then "Run" type "regedit" this will open your computers registry directory, once there u r looking for "HK_local machine" (spelling not exact cant recall off top of head) then "software" inside here u find the exact name of the company that made the software and find the registry entry for that software and delete it, restart your computer and your comp will never know that it was even there. ( Be Warned Screwing with registry can screw up computer v easily so make 100% its the right one and dont change anything that ure not sure of , good luck

Hmm, I download Super antispy, and it was one that just like that, didn't show up in the add/remove programs. It took up a lot of space, and slowed down my computer. I went to c:programs\files and found it there. But there were bits and pieces left everywhere. Bet there was 12 pieces of that thing, I had to hunt down, and delete. Try using this to find the program that you want to delete.

Did you delete it from program files? If not go to Start>Run
type: c:/program files. If you have never been in progam files before there will be a warning to the left just click "Show Files"
Find the folder for the program and delete it

It sounds like you have ad ware or spyware. I would first try to use adaware or system cleaner 5 to remove any adaware or spyware you have. In regards to trying to find the registry keys or the files associated. system cleaner 5 has an option to uninstall programs. It may be able to tell that the registry keys are still there.

if it shows remove it from there
if not --start --search --input name of program

if it as shown up reboot comp before going back on line
if no luck reinstall the program you may have deleted part of it and all program as to be on to delete
if we are now at this stage go off line before trying to delete
