It is up to the state/school district rules and regulations. In many states, school nursing is considered to be a type of public health and require an RN-BSN or better for the position. Others have a rotating supervising nurses (sometimes an NP) and then they can have LPN/LVNs in the schools.

Most definitely. Where I live this is all we employ. Yes they LVN's have a supervisor within the health department that is a RN.
