Relgion will never find it's way to God, but a relationship with Jesus is what is important. We need to become more committed to His ways to see His glory fall on our country and world.

Not all religion, but if you are talking about Christianity, I would say yes. There are a number of reasons for this, militant gays , the possibility of hate crimes laws being passed, people suing the church, people stopping paying their tithes and offerings and in some cases, sin in the church. It is hurtful when preachers are afraid of mankind and tell people only what they want to hear. The bible talks about this in the last days. There are a few good preachers left, sonlife radio is good to listen to and can be found on the Internet. Many good teachers are on that program.

In my opinion people have generally mistaken the moral codes, practices, institutions, tradition, rituals, and scriptures for what is important.
If you mean that these have been watered down to be replaced with a strengthening personal urge to live in harmony with whatever one thinks of in terms of the 'divine' then I'd say that's a good thing.
Providing that this urge does not convince people to abandon concentration on their own 'salvation' and start telling everyone else how to live their lives of course.

Yes, but the number of people inside a building doesn't reflect how many will be in Heaven some sweet day. I find this very harmful. People are lead to believe anything/everything is acceptable to God. This is simply contrary to the Word of God! All we can do is pray for people.

It varies. Some of the churches are watering down things because they lose members with a hardline doctrine. Some are gaining converts because of their hardline doctrine. It's only harmful to the churches if it doesn't work. It's not harmful to any of the rest of us.

In alot of protestant churches it has been . Before becoming Catholic I attended protestant churches(alot of them) and they very much water down the word of God. They less they say about the truth of the bible and the Word of God they tend to get more people. I would rather hear the truth of God, that is why I converted to God's True Church, the Catholic Church

yes, the add things that the bible doesn't teach like the WORD TRINITYwhich is NOT EVEN FOUND IN THE BIBLE.
Though considerate of the limited understanding of his audience and even of his disciples (Mr 4:33) and though using discernment in how much information to give them (Joh 16:4, 12), he never ‘watered down’ God’s message in an effort to gain popularity or curry favor. His speech was straightforward, even blunt at times. (Mt 5:37; Lu 11:37-52; Joh 7:19; 8:46, 47).THE power of faith—a strong, unwavering faith, grounded in the accurate knowledge of Jehovah, his Son Christ Jesus and his glorious Kingdom purposes—is essential for protection and survival during this twilight hour of Satan’s world. What is this faith? It is not to be confused with the watered-down credulity of Christendom’s religion. It is not to be found in the worship of images, relics and mystic trinities. Nor is it to be found among professing Christians who are steeped in immorality and pagan materialistic pursuits, and whose trust is in multimegaton bombs of the god of war, instead of in the strong tower of true Christians—the name of Jehovah God.—Ps. 20:7.
2 Counterfeit Christendom has rejected the name of Jehovah. For this reason she stands condemned as did unfaithful Israel of old: “And you must say to them, ‘This is the nation whose people have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah its God, and have not taken discipline. Faithfulness has perished, and it has been cut off from their mouth.’ . . . upon the bare hills raise a dirge, for Jehovah has rejected and will desert the generation with which he is furious.” (Jer. 7:28, 29) We are now living in the days of that generation, which will reap the climactic stormwind of Armageddon’s fury. (Hos. 8:7) Useless is Christendom’s boast in strategic air power and nuclear warheads. She has lost faith in the strong tower of true strength and follows false shepherds. Hence Jehovah declares: “Against the shepherds my anger has grown hot, and against the goatlike leaders I shall hold an accounting.” (Zech. 10:3) Christendom must pay the supreme penalty for her rejection of the faithful Creator.—Jer. 23:1-4.

Christian fundamentalism is a really tough sell. If you want to make money, you'd better preach that financial-prosperity brand of Christianity that is sold at a lot of mega-churches.

religion is like a huge stone wall barrier to truth, watering it down shows the cracks in their wall of lies... and sometimes the truth comes through and we learn...
