You're in luck!
I checked the on-line GM owner center & this IS a participating vehicle (1999-2004 Alero)

You will have to register your vehicle but they have on-line owners manuals , as well as maintenance schedules & a lot of other useful info.

You don't have to answer a lot of questions...just some basic info , to get you the right information.

Here is the link to the resource center site:

I hope this helps!

Go to your local junkyard and walk around a bit, Find an Alero and look in the glovebox. Most people leave the owners manual with the car. I would be surprised if it cost more than a dollar.
If you can not find one, then go online and ask "junkyard dog" dot com

Get the hard copy rather than a pc view, as you will want to reference it IN the car for various reasons.

if the car is overheating, you have problems that the owners manual is useless for. Go the autopart store and get the $20.00 repair manual, have them do a pressure check on the radiator then find someone who knows what they are doing to fix it for you. the owners manual is only to show you how to use the inside stuff and how to check oil tires etc.

Helminc.com has factory manuals for sale...Eautorepair.net has factory repair info online...small fee or parts stores carry Chilton or Haynes repair manuals for around 25.00...libraries may carry them too. Nothing free online though. Salvage yards maybe or used car dealers.

you might try asking a Chevy dealer...they carry all the latest manuals and might know where to find old ones too...and they can also tell you what engine you have, since you can't read...(it's printed on a plate on the engine itself)
