Your wife works for DMV or an agency that has access to the DMV computers? If not, then she has no idea what she is talking about. You have to talk to DMV to find out if your licence has been re-instated. In Manitoba, you could come into my insurance office with an official receipt, original copy only accepted, with a particular authorization stamp on it, within so many days of paying, and I would forward the information. The suspension would then be lifted, usually while I was on the phone with the licence authorities. But if you didn't come into my office, or one similar, or go directly to Driver and Vehicle Licencing, it wouldn't matter that you had paid it, it would stay suspended until the day you died. The courts do not make the phone call confirming payment, and they do not make an entry into the DVL computer, that is why there is a special time-limited authorization stamp on the receipt.

If you have met the terms of the suspension, and have paid the fines, take the receipt to the DMV and they will issue your license back to you. Do not drive until you have done that. Just paying the fines doesn't automatically make you valid again.
Unless your wife is employed by the DMV, she doesn't have the information you need.

in case you have get entry to to a working laptop or pc, visit the DMV website and look it up. Or, visit the information superhighway-website of your community police. they'd have it there. i'm rather helpful you get put in penal complex, yet i don't comprehend how long. i don't comprehend the WHY related to your license suspension... yet i'm no longer able to stand as much as the would desire to declare this: in case you had a good number of substantial places to pass, and want your motor vehicle THAT undesirable, you will desire to have been on magnificent of your game interior the 1st place and concept-approximately that till now you probably did regardless of it replaced into you probably did that led to your license to be suspended. do no longer compound it now with yet another stupid determination that would desire to land you in penal complex or having to pay a grip of income fines for violating the regulation. As on your motor vehicle being towed, i think of it somewhat is a municipality element... so, la may well be different than SF... you will desire to look into that your self. regardless of the case, good luck.... and purchase a bus pass.

If it is not suspended anymore then you are free to go.
Keep out from in front of the police cars and you won't have to ask this question again...

Now you have to get it reinstated. You go down to the DMV for that. You MIGHT need an SR22 filing.

Probably not. You will need to have the charges dismissed after you have completed whatever is required.
