Christmas should be celebrated everyday for the birth of our savior Jesus. Hawkins wouldn't have done what he did if Christians were looking out for his welfare rather than the state. He didn't feel love from his family or what he considered his friends. The people that died, some went to hell, while those who believed went to Heaven and are a witness. Hawkins spirit lives for many security guards are at the mall awaiting his twin brother. Christians should be at the mall to reinforce the fact that holiday mall shopping is a dreadful sin of idolatry. The gifts we present are to the baby savior in the manger and not to each other. Where's the love?

I think this guy was completely insane. So you think it is ok for someone to kill another for the sake of Christmas presents. As a Christian, I don't think that Hawkins had Christians or Christmas on his mind when he done that. I agree that Christmas is too materialistic but it is up to each individual to worship they way they wish. Being judgmental is not going to help. Also there are lots of people out there with some problems, but they don't solve them by slaughtering others. In a weird way, it almost seems as if you are defending what he did.

If this is your religion, I'm glad I left it!

I'd be happy if Christians finally get trying to fit the birth of their mythical savior into the pagan holidays of the winter season.

We can take back: the gift exchanges * decorated trees * lights * toasting * feasting * Yule logs and wreaths * celebrating the birth of savior sun gods * mistletoe * getting together with friends and family = all pagan

Well if that's what he was trying to tell us, then it was a horrible way to do it. Jesus does not want people killing each other to get their point across.
