Like sociopaths for example.

I had a friend, and I couldn't sense any spirit within him. He only cared about himself to the point where It was extreme. He had no morals at all. and was a drag to be around, Does he not have a soul, or had ego taken complete control of his life?

I think with people like this we have to ask ourself if they have put some sort of block up to others .. and that is why we dont feel anything from them
everyone has spirit ... sometimes it is just hard to reach because of everything else that is put in front of it
in which case ... we should perhaps be a little extra patient with them and they may feel comfortable enough just to let us in
I have found with people like this , there is often reason for it ... and they need more tlc than most
but it is extremly difficult to remain patient though

im with the first answer...

i once knew a sociopath and he would go on and on and on about the psy plane and his duty up there and how he was the reincarnate archangel michael and also the reincarnate soleman...... He would talk about building walls and keeping people out of his energy.......

while i do believe in a lot of what he believed on a basic level, i still think his ego was bigger than his brain and his ego made him think that everyone and everything was out to get him because he was so important in the universe....... SO he built up these energy walls....... while i don't believe a lot of his hype I do believe he knew how to manipulate energy and he closed everyone off from it........ I have done the same thing, when I know I don't want someone to read me...... I start keeping them out of my energy and keeping them as far away as possible.....

I would certainly disagree with you, not all the people are the same. It depends what's your definition of spirit, if you mean morals then I'm fine with it.

I have Ego, and my morals are adequate not bad as I consider myself. I have many good friends with big egos but their spirits are so good.

Ego is very important to have.

He may be an egotist. Or he might care about something else..... perhaps just not you. He isn't much of a friend I'm afraid. Don't invest much emotion in this dude as he is boosting his own ego at the expense of yours. That is not a good friend to have.
