If you are a Christian and that thinks it's a sin to be Gay (and that gays are going to hell) here is a question for you.

Lets say you were born a hermaphrodite and your parents chose your sex. But then later in life you found out that you were attracted to the same sex.

Option 1) Does this mean that you have sinned and are going to hell for being gay?

Option 2) Or do you think that your parents have sinned because they chose the wrong sex at the time of birth which therefore made you to be gay?

If they chose the wrong sex and you turned out to be gay that would mean that you didn't have a choice in the matter. So wouldn't they be the ones ultimately be responsible for making you gay? If they are responsible for making you gay who would be sinning?

People get so wrapped up in technicalities. God is not a vindictive, vicious god who created man so he could later watch them suffer and doom to hell. I don't think God would have created gay people for the sick satisfaction of watcing them burn. I don't have all the answers, but I know one thing for certain, God is loving and says do not judge.

I can only tell you what I know to be true... it has been done. The person will most likely move on to different friends, different ways of living... with that, the person will most likely start seeing things differently, setting new goals, wanting different things... In many cases, counseling and working through WHY someone is gay.. is also helpful. Many gay men have admitted to being sexually molested when they were young. ( I say "admitted" because most feel shame about it) I actually looked that up once, and you can too. Sex has to be the issue here. Gay sex is what is the problem people are always discussing. might add, it is basically the same for women, mostly. Anyway... I don't preach and I don't hate on others. I simply answered the question. Edit: I hear what you're saying, but also keep in mind not all people deal with things the same way. We all have different ways of dealing with what life deals out to us... and not ALL gay people are molested, either. The problem seems to be mismatched sets... like two pepper shakers and no salt, two pairs of jeans and not shirt, two left shoes... I suppose you could make that work, but not the way it was intended and the outcome won't be what was supposed to be. You can put two of anything together, but they won't function they way they were intended to. Where would life for people be if we all went with the same sex and had sex? Would we even be here to discuss this... without a false life science is generating? It just goes against what was intended for sets of men and women. As for straight people having sex... that isn't supposed to just be an every day pass time either. Even straight sex is supposed to have rules that apply... and... people pass right by those, too. This isn't really something you can easily discuss and have a real conversation about on this site. I can't even begin to explain everything I think or believe here.

Do bears often poop in a wooded area?

As for the hermaphrodite, or more correctly born 'intersexed' (pseudohermaphrodites, medically), you will find religion doesn't have lot (anything) to say on that. Unless they are fierce patriarchs then they would wish for it to be surgically altered to be a 'man' regardless of what the person's sexual feelings were.

I had an argument on here with a Christian guy who couldn' t get his head around the fact that being with born with BOTH organs meant they could go either way sexually, depending on what sexuality was more prevailent in them. it is not up to anyone bu t them to decide whether they are hetero male, hetero female, bi or ambiguous. Just like all of us, you can't force someone to be attracted to a gender we aren't biologically attracted to.

The fundie kept saying "If it has a penis, it's a man" over and over. he couldn;t understand that sexuality is wired in genetically, he was fixated on the fact that if there was a penis AND a vagina present at birth, then they MUST automatically be a hetero male...

Quite funny, really. And sad.

christan's believe being gay is a sin because God said that it was an abomination.
if a gay person is trying to live a normal life and not acting upon it then i don't think that it is a sin... but i am not one to judge.

Oh yes indeed they do. They say Gays are condemned but my bible says judge lest you be judged. So still I say God judges by your heart he knows your inner being. So I don't go along with somepeoples interpretation of condemnation. All people should be compasionate for others and pray for Gods will.
