I don't, and you're right. I read the Qu'ran, and I know that the extremists are sicko pervs. So don't let it ge you down, there are some of us who know what you believe and I know that if you follow the real teachings of the Qu'ran, Allah(I call him God) will bless you beyond measure. ^_^

Asalam Alaikum
We should not be blamed nor should we have to apologize. I am sorry that it happened yes but that is different then saying I am sorry as if I did something.
I have had people ask me how can I justify what my people have done. First just because they are Muslim does not mean they are following Islam. Second why are they my people. Third I don't have to justify anything, I didn't do it.
If I ever blow something up then I will apologize till then don't blame me, blame those who did it.
If they still want to say its all Muslims fault, thats their choice, but leave me the hell alone. They can hate my guts and I could care less, just leave me alone. All I want to do is live in peace with my family and raise my kids.

It's fear and paranoia, often times perpetrated by our government to help get support for their own agendas. What don't understand they fear, what people fear they hate. There is so much propaganda and media attention on the bad things done by a very few Muslims that it makes many people believe that all Muslims are the same. It doesn't make it any more fair or right, bigotry and racism are never right no matter what name you try to attach to it. Hopefully people will come out from underneath the sheets and learn for themselves that it is a very, very small minority of Muslims that are hurting people.

yea thats exactly my stance on it. If i didn't do it, i shouldn't be blamed for it. I hate it when the media says where are the moderates?why arent they speaking against the extremists? The fact is, the media wont even bring a moderate to speak against the extremists cuz that would bore the hell out of everyone.

Stop being a victim. I do not think every Muslim is a terrorist or will one day become one. You do not have to feel guilty but you should not tolerate it and do your part to end the cycle. Teach love and respect to your children and live a good life... thats all that is ever expected of anyone. Racism is taught and not part of our genetic makeup.

Actually, i had to plea bargain in a case once and i really had not committed the crime. False witnesses accused me to protect their friends and i had to plead guilty even though i was not otherwise i would go to jail for a while on a greater charge. BTW i agree that the majority of the world's 2 billion Muslims are not suicide bombers. If you were , we would all be dead already.

"Would you take the blame for a crime somebody else committed?" - Of course not! And I don't blame most Muslims for the crimes of extremist Muslims. However, I do wish that there was more of an outcry against the extremists among the moderate Muslims.

Moderates give extremists legitimacy. The extremists are the ones who usually generally follow their religion correctly. Whatever makes someone 'moderate' is almost always from secular influence outside the accepted scriptures. Therefore all believers must share the blame, no matter what religion is in question.

You think that because you are a FREE American woman who happens to be a Mulim. Had you been born in a country where Islam rules, you would would not be a free woman.
I will tell you the same as I tell christians; if you don't want to be stereotyped then stop tolerating that behavior among your own kind.
It's kind of like a devout catholic becomming upset because priests are stereotyped as being child molesters. If they don't want me to think of them that way.....then clean your act up.

Honestly I think you sound like you are doing the same thing you accuse others of. I personally would never blame ALL Muslims for the bad actions of some who claim to be Muslim.

Easy: Propaganda
Read this and tell me that it isn't exactly how the US started war with Afghanistan and Iraq in the first place. I realize it's a wall of text, but it really is worth reading, and very eye-opening.
--------------------------------------------------
"Anatomy of Your Enemy"
10 easy steps to create an enemy and start a war:
Listen closely because we will all see this weapon used in our lives. It can be used on a society of the most ignorant to the most highly educated. We need to see their tactics as a weapon against humanity and not as truth.
First step: create the enemy. Sometimes this will be done for you.
Second step: be sure the enemy you have chosen is nothing like you.Find obvious differences like race, language, religion, dietary habitsfashion. Emphasize that their soldiers are not doing a job, they are heartless murderers who enjoy killing!
Third step: Once these differences are established continue to reinforce them with all disseminated information.
Fourth step: Have the media broadcast only the ruling party's informationthis can be done through state run media. Remember, in times of conflict all for-profit media repeats the ruling party's information. Therefore all for-profit media becomes state-run.
Fifth step: show this enemy in actions that seem strange, militant, or different.Always portray the enemy as non-human, evil, a killing machine.
Sixth step: Eliminate opposition to the ruling party.
Create an "Us versus Them" mentality. Leave no room for opinions in between. One that does not support all actions of the ruling party should be considered a traitor.
Seventh step: Use nationalistic and/or religious symbols and rhetoric to define all actions. This can be achieved by slogans such as "freedom loving people versus those who hate freedom." This can also be achieved by the use of flags.
Eighth step: Align all actions with the dominant deity.
It is very effective to use terms like, "It is god's will" or "god bless our nation."
Ninth step: Design propaganda to show that your soldiers
have feelings, hopes, families, and loved ones. Make it clear that your soldiers are doing a duty; they do not want or like to kill.
Tenth step: Create and atmosphere of fear, and instability
and then offer the ruling party as the only solutions to comfort the public's fears. Remembering the fear of the unknown is always the strongest fear.
We are not countries. We are not nations. We are not religions. We are not gods. We are not weapons. We are not ammunition. We are not killers. We will NOT be tools.
