how do you get visualizations when playing music on my PS3?

When you play a song it'll automatically start visualizations, to change the visualizations to the XMB wave press square. If you're browsing the XMB while listening to music and want to see visualizations press the PS button.

Shadowfyre has it right, also if you wanna see different visualizations, move your analog stick (the right one), up and down, (i think, may be side to side) while you are playing the song, and it will go to another pattern.
