Personally, do you prefer black and white or color prints?

It really depends on the subject, and the individual picture. I like b/w for portraits of faces... up close particularly. Sometimes if you can get the lighting right b/w will work for a lot of other subjects as well.

I take a lot of shots outdoors, and I prefer to take in color, and later if I think it will look good, convert to b/w.

Black and white has more drama and contrast. I love black and white photography for this reason.

Color photography is very good for different things as well, such as to show hues of light at a carnival. There are some things I would never shoot in black and white, just becuase it has no color.

Well i like both.....i think i would like black and white more because it has more of a dramatic effect on the image. And color seems to always bring something alive..

I prefer colour.

But saying that, I haven't written black & white off.

It always hinges on the subject, lighting and how it is handled. To say one or the other would be too broad a statement.
