Do you excercise? That might help. Try walking. Yes, too much bran can be bad. Drink water throughout the day. Hot or warm coffee can do the trick for some people. My four year old daughter had a problem with constipation no matter what i tried and was prescribed Glycolax which works very well and is just a stool softener not a laxative. It works great and can be used by adults too.

Drink more water. Most people take in way too much fibre, you have to balance it out or it will be in there like cement. Wash it down well every time you eat it.

Try eating curry, seriously, and having a *** before you go to the loo. Else, take senocot, whch is gentle but effective. Choose your time of day carefully. Drink more water and alcohol.

Sounds like you may have an impaction. Try miralax it's a great laxative that your body will not become dependent on.
Excercise can get things moving too.

Oh wow... That sounds frustrating. Dried fruits such as prunes do help though, just like "emma_jean2" mentioned.

Try eating out at your local truck stop. If that doesn't do it, it's time to seek professional help!
