It depends on genetics, and how well a person takes care of there hair. More likely due to genetics.

its pretty normal for a 45 year old man to have gray hair. my fathers hair started turning gray when he was around 39. Some people even start growing gray hair at age 17 or 18.

yes it is normal my uncle is only 38 and he is almost completely grey. Has a lot to do with genes and men in the family before him did this happen to his father?

yes. I've had strands of white/grey since I was 17. It all depends upon your family history and genes.
Having grey hair isn't that bad at all. It looks kinda cool anyway!
