would you keep going to make yourself look good?

No -- it might have worked for you at one time, at that time and place in your faith, but obviously you are now ready to move on and go to a place where you can worship at a deeper level, and put your faith into action by doing acts of mercy.

It would be better to go to a store-front church that is a real church trying to Jesus' works, than a glitzy big church that merely impresses people.

If you keep going to make yourself look good are you not also looking for "recognition" than actually doing good?

If you feel your previous church was not living up to the ideals they teach (they do not practice what they preach) if you keep going, you will be supporting them, at least in appearance.

I would find a new place that is more in keeping with your views. Get out the phone book and start going down the list, attending each one and see if you get anything out of their services. After you hit all of them, go back to the top 2-3 and see if they remember you. Go from there.

NO. It is pointless to go where you are not being spiritually fed..

I would like to suggest that you window shop (Per se) Go to different denominations of churches.. If you don`t FEEL anything, Move on, God is NOT in the house.. You will find the right home for you.

The road to God is not instant. There are many paths and we all take a different one. None is right, and none is wronfferent denominations of churches.. If you don`t feel anything, Move on, God is NOT in the house.. You will find the right home for you.

The road to God is not instant. There are many paths and we all take a different one. None is right, and none is wrong. What guides me down the path may not guide you at all.. Ask God to make it crystal clear for you.. He does hear you..

well..i know that God would never "make you ashamed" especially if He were there...and involved in the activities of the church members...but, not all of them could possibly have this condition? i would find out if more felt the same way...then, go where you can be "fed and led" without that, you and they will starve to death without the good word of God and good christian fellowship..(friends) of course...i can only "suggest" this as an option... "Peace!"

No. I would rather fellowship with a congregation of 10 who love and worship Jesus in spirit and truth.

Go where you can be at peace and God can use you to bless others. If you can motivate your current church to be more compassionate, do so. If it's a lost cause, find another congregation. Blessings to you.

A church should teach the word and abide by it,not by bring the church to the world standards so more people will come but bring the Church to God's standards and abide in the word.

I would pray and ask God as to what you should do, stay or go. God can change the situation, but you also need to pray for them.
