Not considering if you are based on a 2,000 calorie diet or anything, is 20 grams of protein per day enough?...Even if you are an athlete or not?

definetly not...20 grams daily is too low for the sedentary individual so it's way to low for a competitive athlete or even the weekend warrior recreational athlete

15% of the daily calories from protein would be the absolute bare minimum for the sedentary individual.

A lot of it has to do with your goals. Especially if you're working out or trying to lose weight. If you are sedentary consume about.5- .6 grams of protein per pound of body weight. If working out/losing weight go for about .8 to may be 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.

Not really, although it depends on your weight. You should try to eat at least 0.5g of protein per 1lb of body weight (or lean mass) just to get the minimum daily allowance of protein.
