It depends. My husband spends many hours designing the emailed card that we send out each year. It includes a slideshow and info on each of our five children and eight grandchildren. There are still people we send a snail mail card to, but, mostly, we stick with the emailed cards. I do think that sending an ecard from online is tacky and impersonal. That's different than what my husband does.

I would not substitute an e-mailed card for a mailed card with a personal note. With that being said, I generally check the free e-card sites and send e-cards to those people I only talk with online, or if I see one that I think will brighten the day for closer friends or family, I'll send it along, as well.

I don't know if it's proper or not, but I think it's cheesy. I think it shows a lack of genuine interest in the person it is sent to. I also think it displays a lack of planning/thought. I think it's much better to be a bit late with a card than to send one e-mail. And if it's a bit late, you can always blame the post office/holidays!

I have used e-mail cards for years and I enjoy customizing them for those people I socialize with. Providing animation and music.

Those that have received these e-mails especially when they arrive right on time tell me the enjoy these cards.

Buying card out of a store is okay but I can't help but believe when you select those images and audio you know that person will enjoy they do appreciate it.

If no longer (or if he says definite and nonetheless did no longer). exchange the addresse next time if your sending something throu (to his daughter). do no longer resend the present merchandise on condition that he seems to have themes abt figuring out on stuff up and it would develop right into a tedious precedent in case you do. discover out what his grouse is (in case you are able to desire to, VERY casually n careful) or you are able to inquire circuitously. O it could be celebration of his character of no longer desirous to ówe'absolutely everyone favours?

I personally hate ecards. Says to me the person was either lazy or cheap. Seems very impersonal.....
On the other hand, they might not be bad for someone you only communicate with via the internet - especially if you don't know their physical address. But for family and friends.....no.

Why not? IT's a greener option, no waste of paper and saves trees. I love e-cards.
