I watch that movie but i have never heard about James E. Hansen

Do your research somewhere other than here to get references. Having said that, they both seem to have the same view. It is important to note, that N.A.S.A. had to revise the figures for the warmest years and decade. This was after Al Gore's propaganda movie was released. The warmest year on history is now listed as 1934, and warmest decade is now the '30's. Hansen was literally caught with his hand in the cookie jar on this.

Edit
Bob, before the figures had to be changed, (and they did have to revise the date from 1998 to 1934) Mr Hansen preached on how big of a deal that 1/100th of a degree was. After NASA was FORCED to change the figure, that 1/100th of a degree quickly became an insignificant number.
And the man made global warming preachers(I am going to insert religion here because this is a faith, not a science issue) are almost all leftists that have to revise history in order to make their point. And don't even get me started about the purpose of the Kyoto treaties......which sure has nothing to do with the environment....as I have said before....it's all about the money honey.

James Hansen has been speaking about the dangers of global warming for 20 years. His bosses at the Federal Government at first tried to stop him from speaking out, and he bravely continued on, at the risk of his job.

The difference between Hansen and Gore is that Hansen actually is a climate scientist doing research on global warming, while Gore is merely a public speaker on the issue.

More about Hansen here, including a link to a pdf version of this resume:

Kirk - The correction to the NASA data involved an extremely tiny technical problem. It changes nothing. In the US it amounted to about 1/100 of one degree. Since 1998 and 1934 were almost exactly the same temperature in the US, the year that was warmest (only in the US) changed. To say that is no big deal is overemphasizing it.

Worldwide the data change by about 1/1000 of a degree. It made no difference at all to global warming theory. To claim this is important is right wing political nonsense, not science.

Mr. Hansen is a lead climate researcher and administrator at NASA's Goddard Space Research center. He has been repeatedly censured by the Bush administration for his research and concerns regarding global warming as he is a strident supporter of the theory not just that the planet is warming but that we have only a few years (not decades) to avoid a runaway effect with respect to planetary warming.

He supports the theory of global warming. See http://climate.weather.com/promo/hotList_Hansen.html

I don't know who Hansen is either. My guess is that we haven't head of him because he don't believe in Al Gore's hoax.
