If i'm serious about my religion it will determine my values. There isn't suppose to be a difference between the two

If your values and your religion's values differ then its time to do some research. You have to find out why your religion believes what it does... it usually has a reason.

If you still cannot reconcile with your religion's values then you have to stick with your personal values and just say you have a conflict with your religion's teachings.

in my opinion, religion was based off of people trying to find answers to life so that they wouldnt be confused. people use religion to put restrictions on life that shouldnt necissarily be there. true, most of their morals and values are important and i have no problem abiding by them, but some of them i dont agree with. which is why i follow my morals, and not a specific religions.

Mine, I can't count on my religion nor anyone/anything else to get me into Heaven. Also, I and my religion are 2 separate entities.

Me and my religion's values are one and the same, although my religion's have been weakened lately. For example, I wish we could still burn filthy heretics at the stake.
