In general, in most areas, there are more students coming out of the MA training programs than there are positions to be filled. IE in my local area there are 20 MA schools some with day and evening classes, teaching more than one class session of MA students a year and usually at least 25 - 30 students a class. In the area there were 15 jobs available for MAs in the past month. They usually start at around $7.00/hr here. Many can make more in retail stores. Check your local job market first.

Despite the thumbs down, the above poster is essentially correct--this job is hitting saturation in many areas. The pay is about 10-12/hour in my area. I would look around at job postings in your area, also be sure & ask any schools you look at what is their employment history for their new grads.
