How you tell if someone is lying to you - you use the same method if talking to someone, or from a church or an institution. The method remains the same.
Inconsistancies in their story - reveal that their story does not hold up.
As in inconsistancies in the Bible - when you see text that is clearly contradictory, then it reveals that the Bible is not perfect, nor the Word of God, etc.
It is the work of men over the ages, who have edited it - without the the presence of the Holy Ghost, etc etc. It is a flawed piece of work, so too the Churches and Institutions are. You can see this in world history - how churches have split up because of disagreements amongst themselves - usually about how the text is interpreted, etc.
This is only one facet regarding the truth about religion and God, etc etc.
There are others to consider - which I won't go into, for now...

Once the United States fought against Britain and other times it has fought with Britain. Does that mean the government of the United States suffers from split personalities?
Maybe it was just the Democrats in the presidency who joined with England against Germany that had Split personalities.
God is just and sometimes that means punishing all the people and sometimes it means punishing some of the people.
These cases are individually specific and based on the circumstances.

Yes he is multiple personalities alright. He need to be different god to different people, either to keep faith alive or pull a man down to despair. Hell and Haven, both given right here, right now. Death is the clean slate for another new Birth.
