Buddhism. I have studied both in great detail and Buddhism is very peaceful. The Qur'an has many violent statements in it, such as killing atheists/pagans (non-believers). Buddhism does nothing of the sort.

In a greater prospective, buddhism is definetely more peaceful.Although we,as buddhists, should incourage every religion as being a positive spiritual development for humanity and not to judge other religions in any way.Discrimination only leads to more hate and attachment. It always depend on the followers how they interprete their religion and not on the religion itself. All religions are peaceful in their teachings. It is the people's ignorance that makes them wholesome or unwholesome.

Buddhism is a peaceful religion as they refuse to harm any living creature, as for Islam they don't kill pigs (as they wont eat pork) or osama bin laden, they will however kill anything else it seems

Islam is a practical faith that is compatible with life. There are no monks in Islam and you are supposed to be peaceful and good whatever you are.

For those who claim that Buddhim doesn't promote violence, should remember the Buddhist monks in Tibet who probably invented the concept of suicide bombers, when they were attacking the Chinese troops!! Anyway, I am not claiming that it's the mistake of the religion, but please, gimme a break.. it's not as angelical as some want to promote it!

Peace/salaam.

Buddhism isn't a conventional religion but it promotes non violence except where violence is necessary for self defence.
