Scholars don't even know the exact date of Christ's birth, how would they know the date Mary and Joseph got engaged?

I don't believe any date is given anywhere for WHEN they got ENGAGED. Scripture only says that they were before the conception of Jesus.

They were betrothed. Probably set up by her parents when she was young. The Bible does not specify.

THERE IS NO RECORD OF THE DATE. LIKELY, IT WAS AN ENGAGEMENT THAT THEY AGREED UPON AND MAY NOT HAVE OCCURRED AS WE HAVE ENGAGEMENTS HERE IN THE WEST.
