I want to listen to English debates and discussions on Islam? Where can I find these? I searched on youtube but most are in Arabic.
I heard theres an American guy who talks about Islam, not sure of his name though.
I love Islam.

I would recommend that you find a nearby mosque. That would help more than the Net. In www.islamicfinder.org you can find mosques using your area Zip code if you live in the US or Canada.

Just notes on other posts here:
- Mr. "Zap" uses a false translation of the Quran. The Quran does not tell Muslims not to take non-Muslims as friends, but rather as "Allies" against Muslims. The right word is "allies" not "friends". On the Other hand, the Quran says:
8. Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just.

9. Allah only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turn to them (in these circumstances), that do wrong.

- Ahmad Deedat was of a great knowledge of Christanity but his style was somehow aggressive. I would recommend not starting with him. Maybe Zaker Nayak would be a good alternative.

- Mr. Yusuf Estes is not an authority on Islam. He used to be a priest then decided to become Muslim, which is good for him. But one cannot converted from a Christian scholar into a Muslim scholar overnight.

- When debating with Muslims whether online or offline, I recommend that you avoid those who show extremist opinions, especially those who repeat the word "bidaa" or "innovation" more than one time in any speech!

- Have a look at these sites:

www.islamonline.net

hope this helps.

Peace.

Look up the following people on Youtube: Nouman Ali Khan, Omar Suleiman, Mufti Menk. They are excellent sources of Islamic information.

And if you want, you can email me as well at mrsbarkat@gmail.com. I am a practicing Muslim and would be honored to answer your questions concerning Islam, or direct you to someone who can.

Try lectures by Ahmad Deedat. He's been doing debates for years and years. He's recently passed away (To Him we belong and to Him we shall return), but he's done many excellent lectures and debates on Islam. He's from South Africa with a bit of a heavy accent, but his debates are in English, and some websites give transcripts of what was said.

First off go to islamicfinder .com and search your city for a masjid and the Imam can usually put you in contact with someone and or a class for "beginners" that is a good starting point.
