I know the jehovah's witnesses say that their religion makes it a rule for them to not tattoo or pierce their bodies.

Recently some jehovah's witnesses rang my doorbell and when I answered the door there were 2 women. One of the ladies was in her mid 30's and her breasts were surgically stacked higher than Pamela Anderson in her prime. I know for a fact that the lady that I saw had surgically enhanced, unnatural breasts, because I have seen in person with clothes on and clothes off, and touched and felt enough real and fake breasts to be able to tell the difference. I also have some friends that are girls with fake breasts, and I have a friend who is a board certified plastic surgeon who has told me all the ways you can tell if a girl has surgically enhanced breasts. The jehovah's witness lady that I saw definitely paid money for some doctor to blow up her body.

So according to what "Vot Anarж" wrote :

It's not okay for jehovah's witnesses to get a tattoo or pierce their nose, but it's okay to have a doctor cut open their flesh at the chest and stuff silicone implants inside and then sew them back up, all for the purpose of having guys stare and women roll their eyes in jealousy?

Yeah that sounds like a really rational, unsuperstitious, wise religion to me. I am going to start subscribing immediately.

"Vot Anarж" I am just going by what you actually wrote :

"Personal decision.
No blood transfused during the op? Then it's all clear."

So according to what you said as long as there's no blood tranfused everything is okay. I was just describing how they perform modern breast augmentation for the purposes of enhancement/enlargement.

"♥Chewy♥Luver♥" read the title of my question. I said "cosmetic plastic surgery, particularly breast enhancement/enlargement". I said nothing about life saving surgeries or anything in the gynecology field.

In regards to what "bar_enosh" wrote :

"bar_enosh" said : "And why are you examining women's breasts?????"

Okay this is a perfect example of how the christians like to pretend that they are better human beings than all the other "non-believers" and "pagans". "bar_enosh", your profile does not reveal whether you are male or female, but if you are a guy you and everyone else here knows that you check out women's bodies when you have the chance, AND you look at porn when you are not on here at Yahoo! Answers spreading more of your verbal diarrhea.

So to answer your question, yes, I was examining the woman's breasts because I am a guy and it feels right mentally for me to do so, and I enjoy it. And while she was walking away I made sure to get a good look at her as_ also, she had it going on in that area too. And yes I look at porn in my spare time when I'm not checking my email or talking bullshi_ here on Yahoo! Answers.

There is nothing more pathetic than denying you enjoy and take pleasure in admiring the opposite sex, or whichever gender floats your boat. The mere fact that you asked me why I am examining women's breasts is an obvious attempt to make me, a normal human being, look like a satan-worshipping barbarian, and at the same time you are trying to broadcast to everyone that you do not check out other women at all because you are a "good christian". Pathetic.

I guess the only brownie points I get with your religion and its superstitious beliefs is the fact that I am a male and I have an extreme taste for females. I am well aware how the jehovah's witnesses cast down on the sodamites and oral sex. By the way, monkeys were the ones who invented oral sex, so do you call them pagans also, or just downplay them in general because you despise the whole evolutionary theory?

"♥Chewy♥Luver♥" if your brother "bar_enosh" doesn't want me to accuse him of looking up porn on the internet, then why doesn't he man-up and tell me it himself? Why do you have to do it for him? Is it because it's true, he does look at porn on the internet like a normal human being and he doesn't want to publicly lie about it which would be what you consider as, a sin?

And you claim that because I am able to spot fake breasts on a woman that you are not like me in any way, mildly rubbing in your arrogance based on your religious beliefs. Well I have a question for you, if you are able to tell if a person is intoxicated due to excessive alcohol consumption, what does that make you? A drunkard?

Yeah those Romans, they got it all wrong, building a bunch of crosses all over Italy.

You make no sense. You're claiming that watching porn causes a person to "nit-pick" at others. I always thought people enjoyed watching adult content for its entertainment purposes, but now that I know that porn is a substantial resource for building a person up mentally to be able to "nit-pick" at other individuals I am going to change how I do everything from now on. I'm going to tell my friend who litigates for a living to watch at least 3 hours of porn before entering the courtroom and questioning the witnesses. The next time I run into one of the sheriffs in the city I'm going to share the knowledge with him about the benefits of porn in relation to homicide investigations.

I got news for you. Your friend's self esteem is based on her reactions to how other people judge her physical appearance. You say she got breast implants for herself and her self esteem, but all that is measured on how everyone else including and especially guys, view her. So don't try to sugarcoat the whole idea of your friend and every other "independent" woman out there who gets breast implants and say that they did it for "themselves". Self esteem and confidence is based and measured by adequacy and opinions. If all men found flat-chested women attractive your friend would not have gotten the breast implants.

It's amazing how the christians assume and interpret issues that are not specifically addressed in their bible and just roll with the idea that their decision is pleasing to God and their christ. It is only realistic to understand that the bible was written on the very same principals. My issue here is that it seems like getting breast implants would cancel out any of the other superstitious beliefs the Jehovah's Witnesses are living with in terms of righteousness.

2007-12-15 00:21:41 · update #13

For the record, I do not have anything against the jehovah's witnesses or any other followers of a religion defined by its superstitious beliefs. I don't think humans should be defined by their religion, but rather on actions in making the correct decisions in terms of choosing between right and wrong. My issue is that religions seem to separate people by hammering in the mentality that anyone who does not subscribe is below them, and the entire time the people involved with the religion are sometimes living under such irrational, ridiculous, and inhumane rules that their religion says they need to carry out in order to book a ticket to heaven or the new paradise. The christians will tell everyone that their religion is based on love and compassion, but in a non-sugarcoated format the words "love" and "compassion" translate into "fear" and "cult-devotion".

2007-12-15 00:49:36 · update #14

I answered another user's question with this post : "If the christians' bible said that they needed to fornicate with goats and crocodiles on a daily basis in order to book their ticket to heaven, they would do it. Organized religion is nothing more than sugarcoated volunteer work in disguise. Even their christ had quite a different vision, but the christians only go to church and pray to save their own as_es a place in their heaven."

Luckily the jehovah's witnesses only have to go door-to-door and spread the good word.

I don't think people should be defined by their religion, but rather on their level of human decency. Ironically, organized religions seem to think the exact opposite. To them, you are either worthy or unworthy of existing as a person based on whether you subscribe or not. According to history, this very principal has caused a lot of shunning and firebombing.

True story: My sister, a devout JW got breast enlargement to satisfy her husband. As long as it was OK with him, it was OK. My other sister, another devout JW, got her belly pierced, and was ridiculed by the rest of the JW family...I guess that her husband was not happy with that particular change in her body. LOL

Note: Auchtung_Heiss direct quote from wbts....

Hi, I wanted to tell you about my experience with the CurvyBust cream. I'm 24 years old and I've spent pretty much my whole life wishing I had slightly larger breasts. I'm normally a size A, I'd love to be a size B, especially when I wear certain kinds of low cut tops. I have a good figure, and I like what I have, but every now and then I would like a little bit more. Even if I had the money, (which I don't because I am a college student with loans to pay off), I would never consider going under the knife just to go up 1 cup size. So that's been my dilemma.
I found out about curvybust cream when I was flipping through (Yahoo Answers). To be honest with you, I'm not the type of girl who would consider spending money on a cream that promises to increase breast size. It just seems like an impossible thing to claim. But there were three reasons that I decided to go for it:

1) I contacted them via their website because I had a question about the cream being OK for sensitive skin (which it is, because it is made of natural botanical ingredients.)

2) I was really impressed by their customer service and willingness to explain everything to me. 3) They offered me a free 12 day supply with no obligation, (I just had to pay the shipping costs- I wasn't too thrilled with that but it was still worth it to get the free product).

Well, it's actually working! There is a noticeable difference in the size of my breasts! It's only been 10 days, and they say that the true final results won't appear until about the 4-6 month time frame, but based on what I can see, (and what my boyfriend can feel) there's definitely a difference. My breasts are standing out more, and they are fuller and rounder. Sometimes I am able to go out without a bra, now I can't. And I have a feeling that I might have to actually buy new bras if the growth continues. I'm looking forward to seeing how the next month goes. There might actually be a size B in my future! Woohoo!

I generally personally don't approve of cosmetic plastic surgery but I do believe in some circumstances it is warranted (for example, if the person has a cleft and there is a psychological benefit to it.)

My sister had cosmetic surgery done on her eyes but to me they looked the same after the surgery as before. I thought it was money wasted. She was pretty before and after. The money could have been better used on a new computer system, for example. That would have been more useful.

I generally don't approve of breast enhancement/enlargement but I can imagine a breast cancer victim who would want to have both sides of her chest look the same.

It's probable that most JWs do not approve of cosmetic plastic surgery.

Firstly. Is it possible that the sister who called at your door had the surgery prior to becoming a witness?
Regardless, was she modestly dressed or did she have everything hanging out like Pamela Anderson does?
The issue of plastic surgery really is a personal conscience matter.
Jehovah's Witnesses on the whole realise that beauty is only skin deep and vanity is not a good christian quality to display.Having said that it must be kept in mind that Jehovahs Witnesses are only imperfect humans like everyone else.
Whilst there is nothing wrong with trying to improve ones looks,we need to keep in mind that it is inner beauty that Jehovah is seeking and happiness does not come from outward appearance.
There is a sister in my congregation who has had the same surgery.Yet most sisters would not.Your spiritual development would affect your thinking process which in turn would guide your conscience.
Having breast enlargements - of course not to the extent of Pamela Anderson, may make certain women feel better about themselves, especially if they have breastfeed - Witnesses or not.
Tattoos whether you agree with me or not carry a rebellious stigma.Notwithstanding that Jehovah made the statement that we were not to make markings on our bodies.
Tattoos are not a modern practice. The art of tattooing stems back to ancient pagan nations and false worship. So as Christians we would avoid anything associated with pagan worship.
Additionally,as Jehovahs Witnesses we are admonished to 'keep seperate from the world'.We represent Jehovah God and need to uphold his holy name. How could we do that if we were covered in tattoos and body piercing etc.
There is a huge difference outwardly at least, regarding having breast augmentation or a tattoo or body piercing.
all in all, a mature christian wouldnt contemplate any of it.
I hope this has helped ........

Not every Jehovah's Witness whom you meet is born and raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Some become Witnesses later in life. Maybe this woman had breast augmentation before she became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Since it is impossible to know the circumstances, it is unfair to make any kind of judgment.

I agree with vot. And maybe she had them done before she became a witness. And you are very interesting. That's gross!

EDIT: so are you suggesting that we are to never have any surgery, maybe a surgery that could save our life? As long as it doesn't have any blood transfusions? What about a pregnant jw? If she has to have a c-suction for her child to come into this world?

EDIT2: I answered your question in the first place. I then went on to read your added details. I was simply stating an example. You don't have to be rude since I was trying to answer YOUR question. If you don't want an answer from a witness next time then don't ask or don't be rude about it!

EDIT3: OK I read the rest of your added details and I will ask you NOT TO ACCUSE MY BROTHER bar_enosh of watching porn That is juts downright WRONG! Obviously because you know that they were "fake" proves that we are not like you in anyway. Yes if one is not married they may look at the opposite sex but not commit fornication in their heart and having a sexual desire for them. Because that is a sin.

It's a personal chooice, we do not monitor or police one another, nor do the elders.. I'm positive she would have been counseled not to proceed with it , but then again its counsel and not forced. I am a witness, with or with out the truth a work hard to build up my self esteem and have found such procedures to be an insult, but that is my view and I'm positive Jehovah feels the same! would share some scriptures if I had more insight, so I will have to research this interesting question. Before my sister was a jw she dreamed of having a tummy tuck and her breast done, then when she became a jw she put all that aside, she had always grown up insecure. So when she left the truth she made her dream come true.

She might one day return to a proper standing with Jehovah one day and become his servant again, with the body image she has created and Im sure it will stumble someone or they may have the same question you have just asked.. so please do ot judge other JW's based on the choice if one individual!
Personally I'm going out of this world the way I came in...

There is no Bible principle to cover cosmetic surgery. So it's a personal decision.

Concerning tattos, there are some things to think about. While such decorations as piercings or tattoos may be popular among some people, a Christian needs to ask himself or herself, ‘What kind of a reaction would such a decoration provoke in the area where I live? Would I be associated with certain fringe elements of society? Even if my conscience were to allow it, what effect would my piercing or tattoo have on others within the congregation? Would they view it as an evidence of “the spirit of the world”? Might it cast doubt on my “soundness of mind”?’

Personal decision.
No blood transfused during the op? Then it's all clear.

EDIT: HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hold it there a second- nowhere did I say what you are attributing to me. Chill, take a deep breath, and READ what I said. We're talking cosmetic surgery here.
Eeeeesh!

EDIT2: We are not against operations of any kind as long as they do not involve blood transfusions or spiritism etc. I told you cosmetic surgery is a personal decision. The religion has no say on people's personal decisions that do not go against the Bible. Hence "all clear".

EDIT 3: Ok, so now you've gotten your answer. There's nothing for you to nit-pick at there so now you're starting to attack individuals you do not know at all. I guess that's what porn does to you.
