Keep looking for a small instant and let them know that you see them and give a slight smile that you admire them.
Now you have their permission to walk up and introduce yourself. This is the first step. Be yourself, and tell them that it seems as though you connected from far away. You need no excuse because you have been drawn to eachother.
Be prepared for them to shy away just don't take it personally.
They are usually as timid or nervous as you, or even more so.
If they respond well, without nervousness or fear, you have the go ahead to continue a conversation. This is when you tell them it would be nice if you could continue your conversation and ask for their e-mail or phone number.
Wait a couple of days, then call or e-mail them and be yourself, saying what comes to mind about yourself and try to set up a meeting doing something fun, but not too involved.

Um, I usually blush, look guilty, trip over my own feet (even when standing still, strangely), drop my drink and tip canapes down the front of the person I've been talking to.
I wouldn't say it's successful, exactly. But it has resulted in some nice encounters with ladies who like puppies, kittens and other helpless creatures.

I always smile, if I haven't talked to them yet that night I give a little wave. Sometimes a wink if I'm feeling it.

I smile. Once many, many years ago that lead to a lunch date with a handsome man and decades of a happy marriage and friendship.

I bite my lower lip. That always seems to do the trick. Then I look away, and look back a little bit later.

Smile then look behind me. It worked for me. I've been married to my guy for 13 years now :)

I smile:) It's an open, friendly expression that means "talk to me. I don't bite." It's always worked for me.
