It is the episode called "A Different Shade of Pink". Kim spends the 3 part episode debating between her gymnastics career and her duties as a Power Ranger. Finally she chose her gymnastics career and gave her powers to Kat.

It was in Different Shade Of Pink, Part 3 that Tommy finally let go of Kimberly after Kim gave her Power Coin to Katherine. The look on his face said it all, he didn't want her to leave, but he didn't want her to pass up this opportunity to go. It was at the end of this episode in the Command Center that this occurred.
