If you're not currently excercising then adding a mile into your day will help. But if you seriously want to loose weight you'll have to watch your diet too. Plus, if you have alot of weight to loose you'll want to make sure you're doing some weight training too for toning.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

If you're able to, I'd mix it up with jogging and walking. I did that, but I did it for 2 miles instead of one. Any exercise is good, though, but you might want to up it to 2 miles and jog some and walk some.

Use a vegetable bean dip including hummus instead of ranch dressing or perhaps a fatty cream-based dip.

Yes, but watch what you eat so you don't eat up your exercise. I have been watching my calories by eating diet type meals in the frozen food section at the grocery store. They are great . . . much better than I expected . . . and I don't have to worry about what I will fix for lunch or dinner. Great.
